Interface Overview

Action/Tracker Item Details

The Action Item Detail Page provides the ability to add comments about work being done on an Action/Tracker Item. It also gives you the flexibility to move an item between projects or meetings. Keep in mind: if you change projects, related items such as the Meeting, Identified By, and Assigned To are cleared. The Action Item Detail Page has a text box for entering multiple lines of text when entering the Description of the Action/Tracker Item. When you change any information on the page the Updated date will change to the current date. If you set the Status to Resolved, the Date Resolved is set to the current date.

A badge at the top left of the page names the project the item belongs to, which matters most when you reached the item from the Items list or from a search rather than from the project itself. Click the badge to jump to that project's Project Page. An item with no project assigned shows a greyed-out No project badge instead.

Comments

Comments can be multiple lines. When you add a new comment it defaults the Date Updated to the current date. Updated By defaults to the Project Manager specified in Preferences. Comments are intended to be a quick note. Comments are listed newest first, so the most recent update is always at the top.

To add a comment:

  1. From the Action Item Detail Page, click Add Comment.
  2. Type in the comment text.

To delete a comment:

  1. Click the × button on the comment row.

To edit a comment:

  1. Click into the Date Updated, Updated By, or comment text field.
  2. Type in or select the new value.
  3. Click out of the field — the change saves automatically.

To open the Action Item Detail Page:

  1. Click the item's card from the Item Tracker Page (a project's Tracker tab, or the Items icon in the icon rail).

An action item created from a meeting note's Action Items panel can be edited inline right there — see Notes Page. To reach the full Action Item Detail Page (for comments, or to move or copy the item to a different project or meeting), find the item afterward on the Item Tracker Page and click its card.
